23 April 2025

Thailand’s Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has teamed with Meta Platforms, Inc. and Facebook Thailand to strengthen brand and intellectual property protection. This relationship includes training programs that provide organizations with information and tools to protect their brand assets and intellectual property rights, such as the Brand Rights Protection and Meta Verified.
The event featured a debate on intellectual property risks and solutions with professionals from Meta, Facebook Thailand, the Federation of Thai Capital Market Organizations and the Technology Crime Suppression Division. The SEC seeks to use technology to safeguard firms and investors against intellectual property threats and investment frauds, ultimately ensuring a trustworthy capital market.
Experts from Meta and Facebook Thailand conducted training sessions on Meta’s community standards and brand and page protection techniques. The Brand Rights Protection tool is considered essential for organizations to identify and report suspected intellectual property breaches, ensuring the protection of their brand assets.
The conversation also explored Meta Verified registration as a technique for authenticating legitimate users or pages, which helps organizations maintain brand integrity.
