Overview

Yonghong Qi is a seasoned patent attorney with over four decades of experience in intellectual property. She began her career in 1985 and has been actively practicing as a registered patent attorney since 1987. Currently, she serves as vice general manager of the patent division at IntellecPro, where she has handled more than 8,000 patent applications, over 200 invalidation proceedings and more than 60 litigation cases.

Her practice covers a comprehensive range of patent services, including drafting, office action responses, reexamination, invalidation, administrative and infringement litigation, licensing and patent transactions. With a strong technical background in chemistry, pharmaceuticals, and mechanical engineering, Qi is widely recognized for her precise drafting, clear articulation of inventive concepts and strategic legal reasoning. Clients value her ability to bridge technical insight with practical legal solutions.

In addition to her professional achievements, Qi holds the titles of senior engineer and certified technology broker. She has also been recognized with multiple honours, including the second prize of the Ministry of Light Industry’s Soft Research Project Award (1997), selection among the first group of High-Level Talents in China’s Patent Industry (2013), and the “30 Years of Practice” certificate by the All-China Patent Attorneys Association (2018). She currently serves as a board member of the All-China Patent Attorneys Association.
