Trent Taylor joins Mills Oakley in Brisbane

Trent Taylor has joined Australian national firm Mills Oakley as a partner in its Brisbane office. He was previously a partner at Holding Redlich.

Taylor’s expertise includes deep knowledge of the agribusiness, manufacturing, distribution and franchising, health, tourism, technology and online and professional services sectors. He is noted as an M&A lawyer, but also brings knowledge of regulatory compliance, joint ventures, IP, distribution and franchising, manufacturing contracts and dispute management, particularly among IP, partnership and joint venture issues.

He recently oversaw the business sale of an IT SaaS company and share sale of a fintech platform. Included preparing business for sale, consulted for an agricultural/specialty products company on manufacturing, tolling, distribution and supply contracts and developed IP and brand protection strategies for emerging and growing technology and online companies.

Mills Oakley has added partners aggressively in 2023, appointing five partners from firms including King & Wood Mallesons, MinterEllison, Colin Biggers & Paisley and ClarkeKann. The firm also promoted 55 lawyers to more senior roles in June, including three to the partnership.
