Jessica Cong has joined Angela Wang & Co. in Shanghai, where she is the firm’s senior China legal manager. Angela Wang & Co. specializes in cross-border legal solutions. Cong brings experience in international arbitration, litigation and complex legal matters, strengthening the firm’s ability to deliver cross-border client-focused solutions. 

Cong earned her Master’s degree in international law from Dalian Maritime University. She began her legal career in China in 2011 and most recently was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2024. Her dual qualifications underline her distinct expertise in handling legal matters across jurisdictions.  

She has an impressive history of representing well-established Chinese and foreign enterprises. Her areas of specialization include arbitration and litigation, contractual and intellectual property disputes, mergers and acquisitions, real estate disputes, and cross-border non-performing asset management and restructuring. 

She was chosen for the inaugural advanced training program for foreign-related lawyers, organized by the Ministry of Justice of the People’s Republic of China in 2023. A year later, she was selected to participate in the inaugural DINGXIN foreign-related legal talent pool initiative, a programme by the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Justice.
