Lee & Poh Partnership has announced that, effective January 1, 2025, the former dispute resolution team of Tuang Chu & Co. (TCC), has officially merged with Lee & Poh Partnership in Malaysia, marking a significant milestone in the firm’s growth and commitment to delivering comprehensive legal services. 

The merger brings together a team of former dispute resolution partners of Tuang, Chu & Co. led by prominent litigators Zhong Yan Lau, Ryan Chu, Chee Weng Leong, Dominic Ng and Naveen Sri Kantha. 

Angelina Kok, from the firm’s Johor Bahru branch (previously under Tuang, Chu & Co), joins the merged entity and will continue to lead the corporate and commercial practice in the southern region.  

As part of the merger, Lau, formerly of Tuang, Chu & Co, and Spring Zuan Yin Poh, originally from Lee & Poh Partnership, will assume the roles of co-managing partners of the newly integrated firm. Lau brings extensive experience and dynamic leadership to the role, while Poh continues to contribute her deep knowledge and strategic acumen, building on the strong foundation she has established at Lee & Poh Partnership.  

The newly merged firm now comprises 25 lawyers and will operate under the banner of Lee & Poh Partnership from a new office in Kuala Lumpur.
