SNR Denton, Salans, And Fraser Milner Casgrain, Merge In Kazakhstan

The recent merger between international law firms SNR Denton and Salans, along with Canadian firm Fraser Milner Casgrain, has stirred the legal practice in Almaty and elsewhere in Kazakhstan. “Our clients now benefit from more than 2,500 lawyers and professionals in 79 locations in 52 countries across Africa, Asia Pacific, Canada, Central Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Russia and the CIS, the UK and the US,” says Aigoul Kenjebayeva, the Almaty-based managing partner and head of IP and IT for the Kazakhstan practice at the merged firm, which is now known as Dentons.

The new Dentons practice has offices in Almaty and Astana, and is the largest among international law firms in the country. The firm has a specialized intellectual property and information technology department with three licensed patent attorneys.

With the merger complete, Dentons is expected to increase its presence in both Asia and Latin America.
