The 15th HKTDC Business of IP Asia Forum (BIPAsia) will take place on December 4–5 at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, under the theme “Leverage IP to Finance Business Growth”.
This year’s forum will delve into the crucial role of Intellectual Property in driving investment and facilitating business transformation. Esteemed speakers from Moat Metrics, United Overseas Bank, and the Korea Invention Promotion Association will share their insights during the “IP Valuation and Financing” session, exploring how to integrate IP-backed financing into the financial ecosystem, along with the opportunities and challenges that arise. Additionally, leaders from GE Aviation and Maersk will discuss strategies for leveraging IP to accelerate sustainability goals across various sectors in the “Propelling Sustainability with IP” session.
A highlight of the event will be the Breakout Session "IP-driven Transformation of HK Brands," will feature Raymond Leung from Camel Vacuum Flasks, Crystal Wong from Hong Kong Tramways and Steve Ng from TINY.
Leung will share firsthand how Camel Vacuum Flasks utilised IP to expand into new business areas, including the successful conversion of their old factory into a hotel. Wong will then delve into how Hong Kong Tramways leverages IP to increase market penetration and enrich brand experiences, reshaping public perception of the tram as more than just transportation. Ng will also reveal how TINY creatively uses IP to launch detailed miniature models while preserving Hong Kong’s unique culture and collective memories.
