Zhejiang: Copyright Used as Collateral

A Wenzhou television series and film production company has received a Rmb5 million (US$810,200) loan from a cultural branch of the Bank of Wenzhou by using the copyright of a TV series as collateral.

The move was the first of its kind in the city. The company spokeswoman Sun Rong told China Daily that the loan was granted "unexpectedly fast and easy", which was a confidence boost for the development of the city's cultural industry.
