Overview

Hong Long is the domestic patent officer at AFD China, leading the firm’s domestic patent group. He mainly handles and directs, with his considerable professional experience, domestic patent prosecution, post-grant proceedings and litigation. His IP practice spans various industries, including electronic engineering, electrical engineering, computer technology, telecommunication, control systems, digital, and analog technologies, automation and more.

For more than 20 years, Long has been committed to working in collaboration with other officers and directors at AFD China, leading the team to provide high-quality services to clients. His knowledge and ability in the industry and professional fields have been recognized by clients. By virtue of his outstanding professional performance, he was honored as Excellent Patent Attorney 2019 by the Beijing Patent Attorneys Association. Several patent applications he handled were awarded China Patent Gold Award and Excellence Award. Hong has also been honored as IP Star by Managing IP.

Long’s academic pursuit of an electronic and electrical engineering degree at university, coupled with his working experience as an engineer in enterprises and as a patent engineer, patent attorney, department head and director in IP firms, and his trainings at the China Intellectual Property Training Center and the All-China and Beijing Patent Attorneys Associations, have all laid a solid foundation for his outstanding professional performance in intellectual property practice, as well as for his excellent communication and cooperation with clients.
