Overview

Linda Zhao was admitted to the Chinese National Bar in 2001. She has been recognized as a leading IP attorney in China by such as Chambers & Partners, Legal 500, Managing IP and Asian Legal Business (ALB). Her practice includes trademark, copyright, entertainment law and licensing; she graduated from the Law School of the University of California, Berkeley (LLM) and has been a visiting scholar at the University of Washington. She earned her B.A. in political science and law from the China University of Political Science and Law.

Zhao has represented the world top luxury hotel management company in civil actions. A litigation case was recognized by the PRC Supreme Court as one of the country’s Top Ten IP cases. She represented a famous U.S. outdoors company in various trademark enforcement actions across the whole country. Hundreds of lawsuits were filed in recent years and counterfeiting was significantly suppressed. She has successfully represented many clients in well-known trademark recognition in administrative and court proceedings, and has representing many celebrities in protecting their IP rights and celebrity’s rights. She has represented the most famous UK-based educational institutions in copyright enforcement and one of the largest Chinese film studios in civil proceedings against various copyright infringements.
