Overview

C A Brijesh is a disputes specialist and leads the IP litigation practice at Remfry & Sagar. Enrolled at the bar in 1997, he represents clients before various forums and courts in the country including the Supreme Court of India. His understanding of court procedures and trial complexities make him an expert strategist on brand protection. He counsels clients across industries on trademark and copyright infringement, unfair competition issues and domain name disputes. 

Brijesh was also empanelled as an arbitrator by the National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI) for .IN domain name dispute resolution (based on India’s Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996 and the principles governing ICANN’s UDRP process). In addition, he is currently a member of the International Trademark Association’s (INTA) International Amicus Committee. He has previously served on INTA’s Enforcement Committee and been co-chair of INTA’s India task force in respect of the same. 

Brijesh’s insights on IP law and practice are published frequently in various IP magazines. He also speaks often at forums, both domestic and international, on trends and developments in trademark law and litigation. In recognition of his contributions, he has received several awards and accolades over the years.
