Overview
Patricia A. O. Bunye is the managing partner of Cruz Marcelo & Tenefrancia. Her intellectual property practice is focused on trademarks and IP commercialization, including licensing and franchising, and regulatory matters before the Food & Drug Administration.
She was president of Licensing Executives Society International (LESI) from 2016-17, the first Filipino and Southeast Asian to hold this position. In 2020, she received LESI’s Peter K. Hess Award of Achievement which is conferred on LESI members who have made lasting contributions to the licensing profession. In April 2026, she received LESI’s Gold Medal, its highest individual honour, which is conferred on individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the profession of licensing and the management of intellectual property on an international scale.
She is consistently listed in The Philippines’ Top 100 Lawyers and has been cited by various international publications including Chambers, Legal 500 and Asia Law, among many others.
