Overview
Tony Yeo is the managing director of Drew & Napier’s intellectual property department, and a director in its dispute resolution department. He also heads the firm’s healthcare and life sciences practice.
A seasoned litigator with an active court practice, Yeo has acted as lead counsel in many complex matters, including numerous patent infringement cases. His expertise lies in IP litigation and enforcement including patent, trademark and copyright. Recognized by clients as a “formidable litigator”, Yeo is lauded for his ability to “value-add by strategizing approaches for the best outcomes.”Combining deep technical insight with sharp strategic judgment, he is trusted by leading biotech and pharmaceutical companies, government statutory boards and listed companies. His wider practice covers commercial and civil litigation, including banking and contractual disputes.
Yeo has contributed significantly to the IP community. He was appointed by the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) as an IP adjudicator to hear disputes at IPOS and is currently the president of the AIPPI – Singapore Group. He is also a member of the Law Society’s Inquiry Committee and Disciplinary Tribunal.
A thought leader in the field, Yeo co-authored the Singapore chapter of Global Pharmacovigilance Laws & Regulations: The Essential Reference, described as a “groundbreaking book” and a “landmark guide” published by the U.S.-based Food and Drug Law Institute.
His achievements have been consistently recognized by prominent legal publications (Chambers, Legal 500, Managing IP and others). Reflecting his standing among Asia’s most respected IP practitioners, Yeo is distinguished as the only Singapore lawyer to have been consistently named in Asian Legal Business’ Asia Top 15 IP Lawyers list for four straight years, since its inaugural edition (2021–2024).
