Overview

Ben Yuu, managing partner of the NAM IP Group, is a dual-qualified patent attorney with deep technical and legal expertise. He is admitted to the Korean Patent Bar, the California State Bar and the USPTO. His practice covers patent prosecution, post-grant proceedings, FTO assessments and IP litigation. 

He has particular experience in technologies such as semiconductors, electronic devices, wireless communication (LTE/5G), software and emerging fields like AI, robotics and cloud computing. 

Yuu began his career at NAM & NAM in 1997 before moving in-house, serving as vice president and patent counsel at Qualcomm in San Diego (2001-2010) and vice president and legal counsel leading the patent and technology analysis group at Samsung Electronics in South Korea (2011-2015). 

Today, he leads NAM IP Group’s global-facing strategy, combining international insight with operational excellence to help clients navigate Korea’s IP landscape with confidence, clarity and success.
