Overview
Kowit Somwaiya is the Managing Partner of LawPlus Ltd. and LawPlus Myanmar Ltd. He founded the two firms in 2003 and 2013. He studied law in Thailand and the USA. He is admitted to practice law in Thailand.
Kowit has been in the IP law practice since 1982. His IP expertise consists of advising and representing MNCs on IP prosecution, utilization and litigation in Thailand and abroad. He has been ranked as a leader, rising star, A-List, top tier in IP, recommended or highly recommended for IP prosecution and enforcement by several international IP directories and ranking publications. Currently, he is serving as a member of the INTA Data Protection Committee (2022-2023) and the INTA Nominating Committee (2022-2023).
Kowit also has expertise and intensive experiences on commercial and banking transactions, debt recovery, debt restructuring, business rehabilitation, litigation, arbitration and probate legal proceedings in Thailand.
