Overview

I am an attorney and also a patent, design, trademark and copyright practitioner accredited by the Vietnamese Intellectual Property Office (IPVN), Copyright Office of Vietnam (COV) and Vietnam Plant Variety Protection Office (Vietnam PVP) with 20 years+ of experience currently practicing in Vietnam for Bross & Partners (www.bross.vn)

As one of the founding partners leading the IP practice of the firm since 2008, I have been representing both foreign and Vietnamese enterprises, ie. from multinational corporations ranked by Forbes and VNR500 and to small and medium-sized companies operating in different industries sectors from pharmaceutical, fast food, milk, fashion, electric goods to fertilizer, seafood, coffee, construction materials, banking and auditing.

Listed in the I am patent 1000, WTR 1000 as well as individually honored as the Asialaw Profile’s distinguished practitioner in 2020 while Bross & Partners is constantly ranked top tier by the Managing Intellectual Property, WTR 1000, Benchmark Litigation, AsiaLaw Profiles, AsiaIP, Legal500 AsiaPacific and Asian Legal Business.

My expertise and experience is involved with various high-profile cases (including criminal case recently adjudicated relating to counterfeit trademark good in which Vietnam for the first time prosecuted criminal liability for corporation), civil court litigation, border IPR protection, administrative measure against trademark infringement, ongoing defense to copyright infringement accusation claiming a record damage of 1.5 million USD, and I victoriously represented to recover domain name via the UDRP procedure. In addition, I had academic experience in completing the long awaited 190-page report on well-known trademark protection funded by the MoST and INTA.
