International Trademark Association Unveils New Website

New York, New York—June 25, 2020—The International Trademark Association (INTA) today unveiled a new website, marking a major milestone in the Association’s multiyear digital transformation.

Visitors will find the website more user-friendly and easier to navigate. The site also features enhanced search capabilities, greater member access to their personal INTA-related information, and new content sections. Specifically, “Perspectives” highlights features, interviews, and Law & Practice articles, and “For Consumers” presents basic information about brands and trademarks in a language that resonates with consumers.

“The ultimate goal is really to provide an even better service to our members and to add value to the community,” said INTA CEO Etienne Sanz de Acedo. “Society is changing, technology is advancing, and our members are evolving. We need to evolve as well. When we talk about digital transformation, it's really about the people and the processes. It's about the service we provide to our members, and it's about projecting ourselves into the future.”

INTA’s digital transformation is one of the objectives of its 2018–2021 Strategic Plan. It developed the new website after significant input and suggestions from its Board, Advisory Board, members, staff, and digital agency.

Another significant aspect of the Association’s digital transformation is its increased focus on virtual meeting and conferences, and increased webinar offerings. Its recent shift from in-person to all-virtual events is in response to health and safety concerns as a result of the global COVID-19 pandemic.

Earlier this week, INTA successfully held its first all-virtual conference, the 2020 New York Conference: Brands for a Better Society. In November, it will host its first-ever all-virtual 2020 Annual Meeting & Leadership Meeting; registration opens in early July. For more information, visit www.inta.org.
