Kate Hay joins KWM partnership in Melbourne

Kate Hay has joined the King & Wood Mallesons partnership in Melbourne, where she brings more than 20 years of experience in multi-jurisdictional patent, copyright and trademark litigation, and consumer protection litigation.

“We are absolutely delighted to have Kate join us. Kate is a highly regarded expert within the IP field and her arrival will only strengthen our already strong IP practice at KWM,” said Matthew Swinn, the firm’s managing partner for dispute resolution.

Further commenting on the appointment KWM’s chief executive partner Renae Lattey said: “Alongside Kate’s technical expertise, Kate’s very strong approach to clients and people is a really good match for KWM. We have very much been looking forward to Kate’s arrival. The addition of her practice will further embed our IP practice across Australia, and Asia.”

Hay joined the firm on March 22, 2022. She was previously a partner and head of IP at Corrs Chambers Westgarth.
