Spruson & Ferguson promotes 10 across Australia and Asia

Spruson & Ferguson has promoted 10 professionals across its Australia and Asia businesses, including three new principals:
Charles Wang, head of patents in Hong Kong, has been promoted to principal in the engineering and ICT practice in Asia. His practice includes patents, designs, patent portfolio management and IP strategy.
David Hvasanov has been promoted to principal in Australia’s chemical and life sciences practice. His practice includes commercially focused patent strategy and contentious patent matters.
Ken Johnstone has also been promoted to principal in Australia’s chemical and life sciences practice. His practice includes patent drafting and prosecution, pharmaceutical patent term extensions, oppositions, patentability, validity and freedom-to-operate advice.
The promotion round also includes three appointments to special counsel, two to senior associate, one to associate and one to senior patent scientist.
