Steve Levitan joins Womble Bond Dickinson in Silicon Valley

Veteran intellectual property litigation attorney Steve Levitan has joined Womble Bond Dickinson as a partner in the firm’s Silicon Valley office. His clients include a range of tech sector companies, including computer hardware and software, e-commerce, semiconductor and telecommunications businesses. He has particular experience in helping Asian companies protect their IP and products in the U.S. market.

For more than 30 years, Levitan has advised clients in patent, trade secret, trademark and technology contract disputes. He has first chaired trials and argued appeals, obtaining successful results in actions before federal and state courts, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC), and International Chamber of Commerce and American Arbitration Association arbitration tribunals. He also directs internal corporate investigations and acts as a go-to counselor for his clients on corporate policies and best practices for protection of trade secrets and confidential information.

Levitan joins Womble Bond Dickinson from Hogan Lovells.

“Steve brings a wide range of skill sets to our clients. Since the passage of the Defend Trade Secrets Act, trade secret litigation is on the rise – and Steve has extensive experience in trade secrets litigation. He also guides clients in patent-related import issues involving the ITC,” partner Chris Mammen, who practiced with Levitan at Hogan Lovells, said. “Beyond his specific experience, though, I know first-hand that Steve is a dedicated and tenacious litigator, and we are pleased to have him on our team.”
