Solanda Chen, a China-registered trademark attorney, has joined Ironside McDonald in Auckland as a trademark consultant on the firm’s China desk. Chen has more than a decade of experience in IP protection, as well as a strong network in China and deep understanding of Chinese practice and culture.

Prior to moving to New Zealand, Chen worked Chinese law firms including Deacons, King & Wood Mallesons and Viven Chan & Co. She joined Ironside McDonald from Baldwins, where she was a trademark consultant.

Ironside McDonald was formed in May 2019 by former Baldwins partner Sue Ironside and former Baldwins senior associate Rachel McDonald.
