Sh OP Gupta has taken over as India’s Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks. Previously, Gupta was working as the chairman and managing director of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Gupta has served as Inspector General of Registration & Controller of Stamps - Maharashtra, General Manager-BEST, vice chairman and managing director of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation, and chief executive officer of Akola Zilla Parishad during his 23 years in administrative service.
