Amit Jajoo joins Trilegal in Mumbai

Amit Jajoo has joined full-service law firm Trilegal in Mumbai.

Jajoo is a seasoned disputes practitioner with a strong focus on domestic and international arbitration, particularly in complex commercial, shareholder, and technology-related matters. His litigation portfolio includes matters across white collar crimes, intellectual property, private client, and regulatory disputes, with significant experience in proceedings before SEBI/SAT and the Enforcement Directorate. He has handled several commercial and high-value company court cases, setting up leading precedents.

He joins the firm with Sushmita Gandhi, who brings experience in high-value disputes, including precedent-setting arbitration awards and complex multi-jurisdictional enforcement matters. Her arbitration practice spans domestic and international mandates in the construction, infrastructure, energy, and commercial sectors.

Nishant Parikh, partner and a member of the management committee at Trilegal, said: “Both Amit and Sushmita are fantastic lawyers with a reputation for getting results in high-stakes dispute matters. They will fit in seamlessly with our team, and we warmly welcome them onboard.”

Trilegal has more than 140 partners and 1,100 professionals across Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Gurugram offices.

Jajoo and Gandhi joined the firm from IndusLaw, which announced recently that it would join CMS to become CMS IndusLaw by the end of 2025. The merger is one of the first between an Indian law firm and an international law firm since the announced liberalization of India’s legal market.
